• Question: Would you stay at your old job?

      Hi Jason,
      I guess you mean the job I was doing before I started my research doctorate?
      I did enjoy it but the reason I wouldnt have stayed there much longer is that I felt I had learnt as much as I could there.
      I think at the beginning of your career you need to learn all you can and then move onto a new role. That doesnt mean you always have to move companies and the bigger companies will often give you chance to try out several different jobs in youre first 2 years so you learn faster.
      But for me, there was no other job that the company could give me so I wanted to move. Also, my wife had just been offered a job in London so we needed to move anyway for that.
