      Interesting question Lozzy-Jay
I’ve illustrated a couple of childrens books! Not ones that got published, just ones that we printed at home to give to friends.
In terms of my work it was probably a plan that I co-created to increase public engagement in renewable energy and energy saving for Frankfurt, a city in Germany.
My team won a competition for that plan which was great. Our idea was basically to use social media to create positive peer pressure for people to do more. But I also came up with a brand for a big advertising campaign as part of it.

I enjoy making scrapbooks of special memories, sometimes with little illustrations – I’ve done a few to give as gifts to friends. It’s a good way to get creative and give a nice gift too 🙂

And I just got a part in a play, that’s going to be a challenge as I haven’t acted since I was at school!

It’s good to get creative at home – engineering can be pretty creative, when you’re coming up with ideas, but you’re still restricted by what is possible to do, or the budgets you’ve got. Getting arty outside of work, when you don’t have to worry about deadlines etc., makes a nice change sometimes.

      Hi 🙂

I love art and drawing – I took Art AS Level as an extra subject because i found it really relaxing and really enjoyed it! I’ve recently got into baking, especially making and decorating cupcakes which is great fun (as long as I stop trying to eat all the icing as I go along!). I made friends and families batches of father christmas, penguin and snowman cupcakes for Christmas 🙂

In work, being a Civil Engineer you get to be quite creative! On some projects you get to work with the arcitect who’s designed a building and sometimes have to discuss changes to their design so that the building is safe and can stand up! But creative doesn’t have to just mean artsy things – one of the coolest and most creative projects I worked on was making a huge excavation in the ground stand up to build a big train station in it – you can see a picture on my profile. It’s a shame you won’t be able to see my work when it’s all finished – the train station will be underground so it’ll be all covered over with soil!

I think it would be painting my son’s bedroom to look as if it was a construction site. It is painted with excavators and cranes all working on a construction site.
